ANDREW
MOOR ASSOCIATES
AMA
design and create glass projects across the world. Diversity is
central to our philosophy; diversity of design, context, techniques
and function. We work with printed, etched, sandblased, resin-painted,
kiln-formed, uv-bonded, stained glass etc.
AMA
understand the remarkable qualities of glass and it is this understanding
that has seen the company grow into an internationally renowned
glass art consultancy.
Glass
is an ever-growing part of contemporary building design. AMA can
help make this amazing material work in a multitude of ways.
Our
expertise is to make the commissioning of something unique and different
in glass technically feasible, practically straightforward and economically
viable. We enjoy a challenge, aesthetically, technically or financially.
We
like to exchange ideas and open up new possibilities through the
exploitation of the enormous potential of glass.
ANDREW
MOOR
Is known throughout the world as an expert in the field of glass
art. He has lectured in many countries on architectural glass art,
and given Seminars at many of the major architectural and design
practices in the UK.
Andrew
Moor is the author of the book ‘CONTEMPORARY STAINED GLASS - A Guide
to the Potential of Modem Stained Glass in Architecture’. Now in
its eighth edition this book sells all over the world and remains
the only book available on secular stained glass of the 80’s from
around the world.
His
new book ‘ARCHITECTURAL GLASS ART’ was published in 1998, and is
already selling in twelve countries.
PROJECTS
Perhaps
most well reported was the Patrick Heron window at the new Tate
Gallery in St Ives; also the two 30 foot tall windows in Poets’
Corner, Westminster Abbey, and the Henry Moore window in Much Hadham.
Our
projects have ranged from directory boards of a few square metres
up to a glazed rooflight of nearly one thousand square metres and
have been as diverse in function, style and method as in budget.
